3E Thinking
3E Thinking mean development according to the principle of sustainability where every new system should have equivalent impact to Economy, Ecology and Equity.
Presentation “Ilgtspējīgas mēbeles Latvijai”
In autumn 2009 Design Information Center of Latvia who are organizers of the Riga International Young Designers Biennial ECOdesign asked me to give a speech in Riga Art Space, where the exhibition was located. As the main listeners were students from Latvian design high schools there was needed a simplified version of my research.
Research “Sustainable Furniture for Latvia”
In the year 2008 I joined to the study course Sustainable Urban and Industrial design in TaiK. The course contained Sustainable Design, System Thinking, Life Cycle Assessment theories as well as studies about Sustainable design aspects from the business perspective.
As a part of the course I have researched cases from Latvian Furniture Industry as that is my main study subject in Master’s program and I am interested in all the aspects of its future development possibilities.
